A Single-User License cover the installation of imagebuddy on one computer.
A Household License covers up to 3 computers and multiple users in one houshold allowing you to load imagebuddy on more then one computer in the household.
A Site License covers all locations for your organization within a 100 mile (160 kilometer) radius of your site. One big advantage of a Site License is that you do not need to keep track of how many people at your site are using imagebuddy. All registrations are valid for all future versions of imagebuddy at no additional cost.
A Developer Appreciation Bonus is simply and additional offer of gratitude to the developer for continued development of imagebuddy and is a means of offsetting the impact of a free upgrade policy. Your appreciation has its rewards and with every bonus I will send via return email an imagebuddy plug-in that will enable imagebuddy to read Adobe Photoshop and Photo Elements Files. The plug-in will only work with version 2.7 and greater of imagebuddy
Summary Of The Registration Process
The imageBuddy registration is handled through the Kagi Shareware Payment Service or PayPal®. Registration is basically a three step process:
1) You send registration and payment information.
2) Kagi or PayPal informs Kepmad Systems, that you have registered.
3) I send you a unique user name and registration code for Imagebuddy.
Imagebuddy will display a shareware reminder at startup and display the word "Demo" across all printed images until the software is registered.
How To Register Online Via Kagi
If you intend to pay by credit card and are not a register PayPal user, you can register right now on Kagi's web site (and probably skip reading the rest of this page). This is done through Kagi's web site and their Secure SSL server. This is the quickest and easiest way to register, and full instructions are provided along the way.
Types Of Payment Accepted By Kagi And Where To Send Them
Kagi supports many forms of payment: Check, money order, cash, invoice, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and First Virtual. You decide.
If paying with Credit Card or First Virtual, you can email or fax the data to Kagi, or register online as described above.
Their email address is sales@kagi.com and their fax number is 1-510-652-6589. For email, you can either copy the data from "Register" and paste into the body of an email message, or you can save the data to a file and attach that file to an email message. There is no need to compress the data file, it's already pretty small. If you choose to use a fax modem, just print the data to the Kagi fax number.
Payments sent via email are usually processed within 3 to 4 days. You will receive an email or postcard acknowledgment when it is processed. Email is always preferred. Payments sent via fax take up to 10 days, and if you provide a correct internet email address you will still receive an email acknowledgment.
If you are paying with Cash or USD Check you should clearly print your request and send it to the address shown below
Kagi
1442-A Walnut Street #392-25Y
Berkeley, California 94709-1405
USA
You can pay with a wide variety of cash from different countries but at present if you pay via check, it must be a check drawn in US Dollars. Kagi cannot accept checks in other currencies, since the conversion rate for non-US dollar checks is too high to make this practical.
Payments sent via postal mail take time to reach Kagi and then up to 10 days for processing.
More Background Information About Kagi
Kagi is essentially an Internet based mail order sales company that specializes in the sale of software, commercial and shareware. Kagi accept credit cards, cash from many countries, US checks and First Virtual payments. Kagi handles all aspects of paying for and registering software; collection of payer information, processing of payments, replies to payers, detailed accounting to authors, site license invoicing, etc. The idea is to make it easier for everyone involved with software; easier for you to pay software fees by providing a variety of payment methods, easier for authors by easing the administrative burden.
Questions to Kagi can be sent via email to "admin@kagi.com". Much more detailed information is available at the Kagi web site.
Receiving Your Unique Name And Registration Code
Kagi or PayPal will notifying me of your registration and I (not Kagi/PayPal) will be sending you your unique user name and registration code. This process will typically take 1 day, but if I am on vacation or away from my email, it may take longer, this is rare. You will receive the information by email if possible, otherwise U.S. mail. Clearly, U.S. mail adds a few more days.
The registration code you receive works with all future imagebuddy versions.
