POI Navigator

Privacy policy

Effective 24 September 2026

The short version

POI Navigator, published by KepMad Systems LLC, collects no personal information. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no servers of its own. Everything it does happens on your device.

Location

The app asks to use your location while you're using it, to show where you are on the route and how far it is to each point of interest. Your location is processed on your device only and is never sent to us or anyone else. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services; the app still shows your routes without your position.

Your route files

Route files are read where they are, through the file access you give with the file picker or share sheet. Nothing is uploaded. The app only writes a file when you ask it to: Save Modified Copy and the exports save a new GPX file to the place you choose, or to the app's own folder in the Files app on iPhone and iPad.

Preferences

Your settings, such as which categories are shown and in what order, your distance unit and the simulation speed, are stored on your device. They're included in your normal device backups and removed when you delete the app.

Maps and places

Maps, place search and place details come from Apple Maps through Apple's MapKit. When they load, your device talks to Apple's servers under Apple's privacy policy. POI Navigator adds nothing that identifies you and receives nothing about you.

Links that leave the app

Some actions open other apps when you choose them: Directions to Start opens Apple Maps, Open in Google Maps opens Google Maps, a POI's phone number or website opens Phone or your browser, and Send Feedback opens Mail. Those apps' own privacy policies then apply.

Support email

If you email us, we receive what you choose to send, such as your message and any route file or screenshot you attach. We use it only to reply and to fix the problem, and we don't share it.

Children

The app doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
